BRIJ meeting with Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth
BRIJ met with Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Roderic O’Gorman and Green Party local election candidates at an event in the Garden Cafe in Blackpool on May 13th 2024.
Maria Magee (Chairperson), Marie Collins (Secretary) and Deirdre Martin (Founding Member) presented Minister O’Gorman’s team with documents highlighting the challenges facing newly arrived and longer term residents of Direct Provision/Emergency Accommodation Centres and a series of possible solutions.
