A Syrian refugee, Saleem Yateem, who came to Ireland with no English eight years ago has graduated from the University of Limerick (UL) with a degree in Bioscience.

Saleem’s advice to other refugees is to ‘never give up, and just keep on trying because life has its ups and downs. Learn from your mistakes and from others. Education is key for your future.’
