How to find employment

Please note that you need Labour Market Access Permission (commonly referred to as a work permit) to work in Ireland.

To apply to jobs in Ireland, you will need a CV. Some employers will also require a cover letter – if they do, pay attention to what you need to write in the cover letter, some request that you detail how you meet the criteria. BRIJ volunteers can to help prepare your CV.

If your application is successful, you will be called for an interview. We encourage you to prepare as best you can and chat with BRIJ volunteers ahead of your interview about the sort of questions that may be asked and how you may answer them.

Below are a list of job search websites. You can filter by location and job title or skill. You can upload your CV to several of the below websites to make it easier to apply to roles. You can also set alerts for new job listings.

If you are continuously unsuccessful in job applications, ask a BRIJ volunteer to review your CV, cover letter, and interview skills with you. Consider undertaking some education and training courses to upskill.
