Sanctuary Scholarships

In Cork, both University College Cork (UCC) and Munster Technological University (MTU) offer Sanctuary Scholarships. UCC is a designated University of Sanctuary.

Sanctuary Scholarships are competitive but it is worth applying if you’re hoping to study at third level. Note that you must follow the correct application procedure and have applied via the CAO where applicable. Note also that you may be eligible for an education grant by SUSI.

UCC offers Sanctuary Scholarships for undergraduate degrees and Adult Continuing Education courses. UCC’s Language Centre offers Sanctuary Scholarships to study some English language courses.

MTU offers Sanctuary Scholarships for undergraduate degrees.

It is recommended that you discuss you speak to as many people as possible to support you in making an informed decision about what you’re planning to study. You could for example speak to a guidance counsellor, an academic, student, or graduate of the course you wish to study, and the Sanctuary Scholarship point of contact.
